​🎶1-Entrance Music: TOUR OF THE KINGDOM
Hello Everyone! I’m so excited to be here! I love birthday parties! (greet everyone, say happy birthday to birthday girl). Is this chair for me? It looks like you love the sea! Hey, I have a story about the sea, would you like to hear it? But first, I feel really bad not knowing your names. Maybe I could guess- Mildred, Rachel, Diana? No? Rachel Diana Mildred? I gotta admit I can’t put my foot on it right now, but I know if I just stand here long enough.. . . maybe you better tell me. (girls tell me their names.)
So nice to meet all of you! Are you ready to hear my tale? Well once upon a time, I lived under the sea! I didn’t have these fantastic feet though. Do you know what I had instead? That’s right! I had a tail! I lived with my father and six sisters, Aquata, Andrina, Arista, Atina, Adana, and Adonna. There was to be a grand celebration at the palace, only, I kind of, forgot! You see, I was off finding treasures with my friend flounder! You wouldn’t want to see some of my treasures, would you? (Be really excited when they do want to see them, save the dinglehopper then the pipe for last.)
Scuttle was telling me all about the fine music you can make with a snarfblats when I remembered the concert! I swam back as fast as I could, but when I got there, my father was really angry. Not just because I missed the concert, but because I had gone to the surface. (Cue Part of Your World.) But I just don’t see things the way he does. I just don’t see how a world that makes such wonderful things, could be bad!
🎶2-PART OF YOUR WORLD
Suddenly there was a loud crash! I turned around to see that Sebastian had followed me to my grotto! As I was begging him not to tell my father, I saw some light flashing above me! I swam to the surface and found a boat filled with sailors. They were singing and dancing and celebrating a birthday! Do you know whose birthday it was? That’s right! It was Prince Eric’s! I’d never seen a human, so close before! He was SOOOO handsome! Well, I could have stared at the prince all day, but suddenly, lightning struck and the boat was on fire! I saw Eric in the water so I swam to him and pulled him to the shore. I was so glad he was alright! He was so, beautiful! Well, I heard someone coming so I jumped back into the water! But I had to see him again! And I knew the only way to get what I wanted, was to become a human myself! So, I went to see the sea witch. Do you know her name? Ursula! Ursula’s lair was really creepy. There were all these sea polyps looking at me with their big bug eyes! Ursula made a deal with me. She would give me feet for three days and I had to get Eric to fall in love with me. He had to kiss me. Not just any kiss, the kiss of true love! If he did kiss me before the sun set on the third day, I would remain human permanently. If not, I would turn back into a mermaid and belong to Ursula! Well, I took a gulp and took a breath and went ahead and signed the scroll. (act out looking away from the scroll and signing it.) Then, she told me to sing,and as I did, my voice floated from me into a seashell that the kept on her neck. With that, I was transformed into a human! I raced to the surface and when I got there, I was so happy to find my two human feet! Balancing on my new legs took a little getting used to. (act out steadying yourself on two legs.) As I was trying them out, do know who found me? Max! Prince Eric’s dog! I was so happy to see him and tried to explain who I was, but I couldn’t. Do you know why? That’s right, I had traded my voice for legs! Even though I couldn’t tell him who I was, the prince took me to his castle. Everyone there was so nice! They helped me get cleaned up and even gave me a beautiful dress to wear to dinner! The next day, Eric took me on a tour of the kingdom! He even let me drive the carriage! Have you ever driven a carriage? Well I’ll have to teach you, I’m a very good driver! That night was the most romantic part! Prince Eric took me on a boat ride through a blue lagoon, and he was just about to kiss me when Ursula’s pet eels came and tipped our boat over! I wasn’t worried though. I still had one more day, I though for certain that he was falling in love with me. So, that night, I went to bed happy as a clownfish, but the next morning, I found out he was going to marry someone else! I was heartbroken! I couldn’t understand how this was happening! That’s when my friend Scuttle came to my window! Do you know what he said? He told me that the witch was watching in the mirror, and she was singing with a stolen set of pipes! Do you hear what I’m telling you? The Prince was marrying the Sea Witch in disguise! She had used my voice to trick Eric! Founder got me to the wedding ship as fast as his fins could carry us! As soon as I stepped on the ship, scuttle grabbed the necklace around the sea witch’s neck, and when he did, it fell to the deck of the ship! It broke and my voice returned to me! I could finally tell Eric who I was, and he knew it was me all along! We were just about to kiss, when suddenly the sun set on the third day. I turned back into a mermaid and Ursula grabbed me by the wrist and pulled me back into the sea. But do you know who saved me? Prince Eric! He was able to get rid of the Sea Witch once and for all, andwhen he did, every spell she had ever cast was broken! Even those buggy-eyed sea polyps, were turned back into beautiful mermaids! There was only one problem. I was still a Mermaid, and Prince Eric was still a human. Well, My father could finally see that I truly did love him, So do you know what he did? He touched his mighty trident to the water, and magic floated across the waves and began to swirl around my fins. Suddenly, my fins turned to feet, and I was human again! I even had my voice! I finally became part of my Prince Eric’s world and I are now living happily ever after. J

I love being a human! I bet you all love having feet! What’s your favorite thing to do with your feet? (wait for answers, someone will probably say dance, if not, just ask if they like to dance. ) You like to dance?! Would you want to dance to one of my favorite songs?
🎶3-UNDER THE SEA
Okay I only have one rule! Whenever you hear Sebastian say “Under the sea,” you have to do this! (Do the 60’s swim move where you plug your nose and wiggle down with your other arm over your head).
I sure love having feet, and I’m so glad I didn’t have to trade in my voice to keep them! Everyone sit in a circle. We are going to play a game. I’m going to pass around Ursula’s sea shell, and when the music stops, if you are holding the necklace, I will whisper something to you. You have to try to get everyone else to guess what you are acting out, but you can’t use your voice!
(play the game to🎶4- KISS THE GIRL. I always make sure every girl gets a chance to act out something. )
You all know I always dreamed of being a human. Have you ever dreamed of being something else? (Let them tell you, they will always say mermaid. ) You want to be a mermaid? Well I’m going to let you pretend you are a mermaid! It can be a little tricky when you live on the land to have a fin! (Have the girls line up. You will put the fin over their dress and let them hop down to a certain point and hop back, then switch it to the next girl. Play it to 🎶5- HOT, HOT, HOT! )
You all make beautiful mermaids! I can see that you all like a lot of different thing, but you know, I think there is one thing that ALL of you like, princess stories?!
(CUE 🎶6- THE GLOW)
Well you already know my story, but there is another princess here I haven’t introduced you to. You may not know her story, but that’s because hers is still being written.
Like Cinderella, this princess knows that if she has faith, her dreams will come true!
Like Belle, she sees the good in everyone, even when others might turn away.
Like Aurora, this princess will grow in beauty and grace, beloved by all.
Like Snow White, her inner beauty shines as bright as her outer beauty.
Like Jasmine, this princess knows her worth is far more than any treasure.
Like Tiana, this princess knows that hard work brings dreams to life.
Like Rapunzel, this princess always keeps busy with her many talents.
Like me, Princess _____________ loves an adventure and isn’t afraid to follow her heart.
Let it be known throughout the land, that on this day, we do declare and affirm, by virtue of the qualities she possesses _______________ to be a true princess!
